Although an afternoon tea is a social event in general, when you travel around in England you feel like you must experience it even when you are alone, especially if you are a tea-lover. Soho's Secret Tea Room, secret in that you have to enter into a pub and ask for the tea room in order to find the location shown on the map when you made your reservation:), can be one of the best options to start experiencing this special time of the day. The cakes, the jams, the scones and especially the tea were worth to half an hour extra-walk after a tiresome but an amazing day in London. The vintage atmosphere of the place and non-matching porcelains make you feel like sitting around a mad hatter's table in Wonderland :)
